Update: Mindy McCready’s Boyfriend Took His Own Life

Yesterday, I told you about the death of Mindy McCready's 34-year-old boyfriend David Wilson.  As of yesterday afternoon, the cause of death was still unknown.

This morning the Cleburne Sheriff's Office in Arkansas confirmed that the cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to Taste of Country, McCready has made an official statement:

“David was my soulmate; he was a caregiver and guiding hand to our sons, Zander and Zayne.  He was a precious gift from God to all of us and, yesterday, he returned home and is now with his mother and father.”

Our condolences go to McCready and her family as well as Wilson's family.
