Ventnor Man Charged in Connection With Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident in EHT
A man from Ventnor is now facing charges in connection with a hit-and-run accident this past Saturday morning in Egg Harbor Township where a woman was killed.
Just after 1AM Saturday, EHT Police responded to the Black Horse Pike and Fox Place in West Atlantic City in reference to two pedestrians being struck by a car. One woman, identified as 30-year-old Nikita Petrecca of Quakertown, PA, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person, while down in the roadway, was struck by a second vehicle that remained at the scene; that person’s injuries were not life threatening.
An investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle that left the scene was 23-year-old Anthony Colon of Ventnor, who has been arrested and charged with causing death while suspended driving, endangering an injured victim, and leaving the scene of an accident causing death.
Colon is being held on $150,000 cash bail at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
