At a recent stop on Charles Kelley's solo tourKelsea Ballerini joined the singer onstage to perform Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now."

Ballerini was on vacation in West Palm Beach, Fla., when she surprised Kelley at his Jan. 5 show at CityPlace. Knowing that the rising country star was there to see the show, the Lady A member asked her to step in and sing the tune with him.

Hillary [Scott] and Kelsea are best friends, so I can’t wait for her to see this on YouTube,” Kelley said before the song began. “This will be great. You gotta make her proud.”

The "Dibs" singer took to the stage looking relaxed, wearing jeans and a black leather jacket. Although Ballerini acknowledged the pressure of lending her voice to the song, the crowd let her know that she did a good job. Press play on the video above to watch the performance.

After postponing his The Driver tour, Kelly now has a few dates on his calendar in April, as well as another show later in January and one in May. His first solo single, “The Driver,” has earned him a 2016 Grammy Awards nomination in the Best Country Duo / Group Performance category (although it’s Kelley’s debut solo release, Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay join him on the song).
