Quick... it's mid-May...what's one of the most busiest times of the week for traffic into Atlantic City?

If you guessed late Saturday morning, you are correct!

Atlantic City's having a tough enough time attracting visitors lately. Out-of-towners' trips into the city shouldn't be slowed by some buffoon who decided that a major sign installation project should be done late Saturday morning.

Yet, there they were Saturday, a sign crew, with a bunch of big trucks with flashing lights, and a squad of workers, making overtime, no doubt, erecting a big sign on Expressway, directly over 3 lanes of traffic, rerouted to one single lane.

I'd say buffoonery had something to do with the need to put the sign up, anyway. Last week, somebody somewhere decided that a "Welcome to Atlantic City Sign" didn't have the proper permit. (This despite the fact that the sign, in some way, shape, or form, has been there forever.) So, it came down. Shortly thereafter, some other big cheese decided it was OK for the sign to be there, and ordered it back up.

Couldn't this have been done during the week, at a slower time?

Am I the other one thinking around here?
