One New Jersey shore town wants to get its library off the beach, where the public building takes up space that could fetch some serious tax revenue.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that Wildwood Crest has asked Cape May County to move its oceanfront branch of the county library system could be moved a couple blocks inland.

Borough Administrator Kevin Yecco says the town government might sell the land or renovating it as a historical society or tourism attraction.
