Winning Lottery Ticket Sold in New Jersey

With the estimated $450 million Powerball drawing looming this evening, one lucky person in North Jersey won $1000 a week for life from the New Jersey Lottery on New Years Eve!

Shop Rite Liquors of Rockaway is the North Jersey store that sold the winning ticket. According to NJ.com,

It matched five numbers, but not the Cash Ball. The lucky ticket holder also can take the money in a lump sum — $1 million minus taxes.

Friday's winning numbers were  1, 5, 24, 47 and 55. The Cash Ball was 1.

The odds of a single ticket matching five numbers but not the Cash Ball are 7,282,016 to 1.
