Before you compliment yourself for passing on that piece of pie, take a moment to consider the hidden sugars lurking in everyday foods we all consume, especially condiments.

Many condiments are loaded with sugar even if they don't taste sweet. Some ingredients to be aware of on the label are high-fructose corn syrup, molasses, or cane syrup.  Whatever you call it, sugar sneaks its way into the most unexpected dipping sauces, spreads, and dressings.

We know too much sugar can be detrimental to our health, so we need to learn how make better and healthier choices, especially when it comes to hidden sugars.

Nutritionist Nancy Adler of Nancy Adler Nutrition in Linwood, breaks down the sugar content of three of the most common condiments we use as she talks with Robin Stoloff on Living Well.
