Authorities say on Monday morning, an ACPD officer was stopped by a citizen on New Jersey Avenue in reference to a vehicle being driven by a juvenile at a high rate of speed.

The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused and then crashed into a pole in the 600 block of Connecticut Avenue.

The boy’s mother arrived on scene; he was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division as a precaution

He was charged with receiving stolen property, eluding, and multiple motor vehicle summons, then released to his mother.
