Health officials in Atlantic County say two more people have died as a result of COVID-19 in the county.

The two were elderly Hammonton residents of long-term care facilities; an 82-year-old woman and a 97-year-old man. Both had pre-existing medical conditions.

On Friday, officials also confirmed 19 new positives among seven men (ages 25 to 92) and a dozen women (ages 20 to 89).

With today’s stats, there are now 1,950 county residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 along with 130 deaths. 64 more residents have been cleared as recovered for a total of 712.

Absecon, Northfield - 2
Brigantine, Folsom, Galloway Township, Pleasantville, Ventnor City - 1 each

Atlantic County will continue to provide COVID-19 testing after Memorial Day at a new location. The county testing site will be moving from Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing to the county public works complex at Route 9 and Dolphin Avenue in Northfield.

Testing at the new location will be held next Wednesday, May 27th, and Thursday, May 28th, for symptomatic county residents. For a complete list of qualifications and to make an appointment, visit the county's website.
