Cops in Atlantic City say a man was arrested after surveillance center staffers observed him using a power drill to commit a burglary.

According to authorities, just before 2:00 Tuesday morning, staffers working in the city's Surveillance Center saw 30-year-old James Sanders of Atlantic City attempting to remove the plywood from the front of Finish Line in the 2000 block of Atlantic Avenue with a power drill.

Two officers responded and they observed Sanders walking away from the store, per a press release. The officers attempted to stop Sanders who threw the drill and began to run but was quickly apprehended.

Sanders has been charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, and obstruction of justice. He was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
