A pair of men from Atlantic City are in trouble with the law after they were arrested last week.

Authorities say just before lunchtime on Tuesday, October 13th, detectives with the Atlantic City Police Department's Special Investigations Section conducted a motor vehicle stop in reference to an active investigation into the distribution of narcotics in the beach block of St. James Place. Police say they had received complaints that 40-year-old Robert Taylor of Atlantic City was selling drugs on the block. According to police, during that traffic stop, Taylor and 43-year-old Thomas Faulkner, also of Atlantic City, were arrested after detectives located 1,201 bags of heroin in the vehicle.

Both Taylor and Faulkner were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone. Taylor was additionally charged with contempt of court. Taylor was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility; Faulkner was released on a summons with a future court date.

Cops in Atlantic City remind area residents of the phrase, "if you see something, say something." Just last week, a 30-year-old man from the city, with a warrant, was arrested and charged after they received a tip from a concerned citizen via txt message.
