Atlantic City Cops: One Teen Arrested, One Sought in October Shooting
Cops in Atlantic City are asking for your help as they search for an 18-year-old man who is wanted in connection to a shooting in the city about two months ago.
An investigation conducted by ACPD detectives of the Violent Crimes Unit led to Yasin Sanders of Atlantic City being charged for his involvement in a shooting that occurred on October 23rd.
Cops say on that night, officers responded to the 400 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard after they received a ShotSpotter alert. They arrived to find a 25-year-old woman from Atlantic City with a graze wound.
An investigation revealed that two guns were fired during the incident -- one by Sanders and another by a 15-year-old male from Brigantine. The juvenile male is already in custody on an unrelated matter and was served his charges. Sanders has not been arrested and is being sought.
The 15-year-old has been charged with aggravated assault (two counts), unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and conspiracy. He was served with his charges at the Harborfields Detention Facility.
Sanders is facing those same charges.
