Atlantic County announced 21 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday following a weekend where two new deaths were reported.

The 21 new cases were between 11 men (ages 8 to 82) and 10 women (ages 26 to 102).

Atlantic City and Pleasantville each had four of today’s cases; Northfield had three; Absecon, Galloway Township, and Hammonton each had two; Buena Borough, Buena Vista Township, Egg Harbor City, and Hamilton Township each had one.

As of Monday, Atlantic County has reported a total of 2,449 county residents with COVID-19 with 1,107 cleared as recovered. There have been 170 deaths.

The total number of deaths increased by two this past weekend. The death of a 74-year-old Weymouth Township man was announced on Saturday and the passing of an 89-year-old woman from Margate was announced on Sunday, both from complications from COVID-19.

This past weekend, the county announced 59 additional people tested positive for the virus.
