Hello everyone! I’m Social Spring and I’m the newest member of the SoJO family. My real name is Spring Sapphire Gonzalez – and YES that is my real name, I have the I.D. to prove it! I was born and raised in Bronx, NY and until recently lived there all of my life. I graduated from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. It is safe to say that I am fresh to the outside world. Originally, I entered college with a passion for film and television production, having hopes to eventually become a filmmaker. During my college career, I had my first college radio show sophomore year called “Dirty Mike and the Girls”. Suddenly, a professor and soon to be mentor, Michael Damergis, noticed my gift of gab and suggested maybe radio was a place I should venture into. Following his advice, I had two consecutive shows: “The Usual Suspects” and “Everybody Loves Spring in the Morning”. I have not looked back since! Aside from my collegiate experience, I have interned for Cumulus Media as well as Sirius XM. It was through my Sirius XM internship for the late night Derek and Romaine show that I realized on-air hosting was something I really enjoyed doing. Thanks to a little bit of luck, I am now here talking to you every morning on the Mike Show! There are other things about me that you guys will soon know, such as my obsession with drugstores! I cannot wait to have the opportunity to know more about you and South Jersey! It’s a pleasure being here.. Talk to you soon!
