Bloodied Man in Absecon was Robbed and Stabbed

Several calls to 9-1-1 early Saturday morning alerted Absecon Police to a bloodied man on an area road, trying to flag down motorists.

When officers arrived on the scene, on California Avenue, they found an 18-year-old male bleeding, with torn clothes, seeking help.

According to a press release,

"The victim told officers that he has been stabbed and sprayed in the face with a chemical agent. He further stated that he had been assaulted in the area of Marin Drive before being forced into a vehicle and driven southwest on West California Avenue. The victim was  reportedly robbed and beaten further before being dumped from the vehicle. "

 

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. Police say the incident doesn't appear to be a random attack, and remains under investigation.
