Bomb Scare in Wildwood Brings out AC Bomb Squad

A man acting strangely in a car, with a sign referencing a bomb resulted in some tense moments in Wildwood Monday.

Wildwood Police say they they received a call just after 7am about a man in a car of the parking lot of ACME on Park Boulevard acting in a strange manner. They located Charles Weber, 63, from Hatboro, Pennsylvania sitting in his car displaying a sign in the front window that referenced a bomb.

Police secured the area and brought in the Atlantic City Bomb Squad, which checked out the vehicle, and found no explosive devices. Weber was arrested and charged with causing a false public alarm.
