Bridgeton Woman Killed in Salem County Crash
The second week of January has been everything BUT a quiet one for the residents of Salem County where tragedy struck more than twice in one week.
A 47-year-old Bridgeton woman was killed overnight on Thursday after she endured a head-on collision with another driver while traveling down Porchtown Road in Salem County.
According to NJ.com, the 47-year-old woman has been identified as Maribel Pancho of Cumberland County. Coincidentally, the driver of the other vehicle was identified as a 28-year-old male from Bridgeton, also. The drivers collided head-on which resulted in Pancho's death.
NJ.com says that the 28-year-old man lives. He is, however, currently in the hospital dealing with some injuries as a result of the crash. It's important to note that the male's identity has not been released.
It seems as though the police in Salem County have their hands full this week with this crash happening first followed by the shooting that occurred on Wesley Street in Salem City a few short hours later Friday morning.
In the same article, NJ.com also reports that during the early hours of Friday morning, yet ANOTHER crash occurred on Harding Highway. This one, however, only involved one moving vehicle. The identity of the driver has not yet been revealed.
