Authorities in Cumberland County say a man was shot and killed in Bridgeton Thursday night and now they are searching for the person who may have pulled the trigger.

26-year-old David Morales-Olmedo has an active warrant out for his arrest. He has been charged with homicide and related weapons offenses, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office. Officials say Morales-Olmedo should be considered armed and dangerous. Do not attempt to approach him.

Morales-Olmedo is described as a Hispanic man, 5' 4" tall, about 145 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

According to reports, Bridgeton police officers responded to shots being fired in the 100 block of N. Pearl St. at around 10:15 Thursday night. Arriving cops learned that a shooting victim, Mario Soriano, had already been taken to Inspira Hospital in Bridgeton; he died from his injuries a short time after arriving at the hospital.

A press release states, "...the victim suffered several gunshot wounds and a suspect has been identified but no arrest have been made and the investigation is continuing."
