Home values have skyrocketed since 2020, but keep in mind with that price tag we get a lot of benefits.
We live in quaint, beautiful towns nestled just a stone's throw from some of the best beaches in the country, in my opinion.
But when property taxes continue to rise and rise, it starts to make people a little more frustrated.
According to a new report, APP says that of the 564 municipalities in New Jersey, 514 of them have increased taxes drastically over the past few years.

There are a lot of factors that go into that, but the housing market in Jersey has been getting more and more expensive over the years.
Houses are selling for well over the asking price which causes the home to be assessed at a higher rate which in turn helps to increase your property tax.

I know my wife and I's taxes are likely going to increase a little bit in Ocean Gate, and I've heard there's been a big hike in places like Seaside Heights as well, but those hikes are likely nothing when compared to the 10 towns with NJ's highest property taxes.
Are you mad that your tax bill increased from $5,000 a year to $6,500 a year? There are some towns in the Garden State where the annual tax bill is well over $2 Million, and that's not even the most expensive property tax in the state.
