Another New Jersey School District Is Banning Cell Phones This Year
Now that Labor Day is in the rearview mirror, it's time for a lot of NJ families to get ready for back to school.
Back to school was always one of my favorite items of the year when I was younger; back to seeing my friends at lunch every day, after-school activities kicked up again, and of course, it meant a return to routine, which I'm a big fan of.
This year, however, for some NJ students back to school may be a little different.
Another NJ school district is limiting and banning the use of cell phones for students during school hours.
What NJ School District Is Putting A Ban Or Limit On Cell Phones This Year?
It seems to be a trend, Cherry Hill school district has updated its cell phone policy to limit how much they can be used by students.

Now, according to APP the Middletown school district has updated its policy, and some people think it may be a little strict.
What Is The Middletown School District's Cell Phone Policy In 2024?
If your student is in high school, then they have to have their phone off and away during class and gym.

Phones can't be used in the locker room or the bathroom, and can only be on and used during lunchtime and in between classes.
If your student is in elementary school, it's even more strict; students' phones are to be turned off from the time they arrive at school to the time they leave, with no exceptions during lunchtime or time in between classes
In my view, I'm a big fan of these types of policies.
I grew up going to school without a cell phone and turned out fine; phones can be a huge distraction to students and can cause frustration for teachers, so having some rules in place may be extremely helpful.
Jersey schools are highly rated, maybe that's why so many people are moving here from other states.
