But, I had no idea about this poisonous plant that's all over Garden State. I recently read that this plant is in every county of New Jersey.

What's the poisonous plant that we should look out for in New Jersey?

It's Poison Hemlock, just the name alone. Poison Hemlock is one of the most deadly plants in North America. All parts of the plant are poisonous from the leaves, stems, seeds, to the roots, according to the melsafetyinstitute.org.

Poison Hemlock should not be touched or handled because of the sap on the skin and can be rubbed into your eyes or accidentally ingested while handling food.

This poisonous plant thrives near bodies of water and wet environments. But, it seems to do well in open fields, also.

*Nervous trembling

*Salivation

*Lack of coordination

*Left untreated, it can cause respiratory distress and eventual paralysis of the respiratory system.

This dangerous plant is extremely poisonous for your pets. Be on the look out for it on your property.
