Mainland Alum Kylee Watson Enters Transfer Portal – Leaving Notre Dame
Former Mainland Mustangs star Kylee Watson is on the move again. The former Mustangs star entered the transfer portal and will be playing at a new school next season.
Watson started her college career at the University of Oregon, playing two seasons with the Ducks. She transferred to Notre Dame before the 2022-2023 season, playing her junior and senior seasons with the Irish. She had one more season remaining with the COVD year, but missed the entire 2024-25 after tearing her ACL at the end of the 2023-2024 season with Notre Dame.

In 2023-2024, she started all 31 games with the Irish, averaging 6.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 25.9 minutes per game.
Watson is one of the top players to ever come out of Mainland High School, scoring 16.9 points and grabbing 10.1 rebounds, and dishing out 4.1 assists per game as a senior. She averaged 18.1 points, 11.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 3.1 blocks per game as a junior to help lead the Mustangs to the 2019 New Jersey State Championship.
She ended her Mainland career as the school's all-time leading scorer for both men and women.
She entered the portal as a "do not contact," which generally means she knows where her next school will be, check back and we will update this story when we know.
