New Jersey Shore location announced for fast rising restaurant chain
During the COVID-19 Pandemic lockdowns in 2020, many people were talking about being healthier and trying to commit themselves to better wellness. But the numbers show that Americans still love their fast food.
Over the last five years, the Fast Food Industry has grown 3.7 percent in revenue, and specifically, the fast-food chicken business has grown 5.6 percent over the last five years. The United States Fast Food Industry will earn $412.7 billion in revenue in 2025, as financial experts say that there is a strong demand for the product.
Now one of the fastest-growing Fast Food Chains will be opening a new location, and their first at the Jersey Shore.
Over the last 30 years, Raising Cane’s has grown from being a popular regional chain restaurant in Louisiana to being the newest competitor in the national fast food arena.
In 2024, Raising Cane’s was one of the top five most profitable fast food chains in the United States. The company has added almost 300 new locations over the last 12 months and their next New Jersey location will be near the Jersey Shore.
According to a report from NJ Biz, Raising Cane’s plans to open their newest location late in 2026 inside the Brick Plaza. The shopping center currently has other big-name businesses such as AMC Theatres, Trader Joe's, Crumbl Cookies, PetSmart, and Men’s Wearhouse.
Raising Cane’s is tearing down a vacant 8,148 square foot structure in order to build a brand new 3,333 square foot restaurant. This will allow the Fast Food Chain to accommodate space for Drive-Thru Ordering lanes, expanded parking, and take-out for mobile ordering.
There are reports that Raising Cane's is also opening a new location at the Blue Star Shopping Center in Watchung in 2026. Of course, in South Jersey, there is still no Chick-Fil-A or Raising Cane's in Cape May County, even though they are two of the most profitable fast food chains:
