The Atlantic City Police Department says a 15-year-old boy, who was already in custody on an unrelated gun charge, is now facing two counts of attempted murder.

The criminal charges stem from a shooting on the 400 block of North New Jersey Avenue on the afternoon of December 16th where a 25-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, both from Atlantic City, were shot.

The victims were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division for treatment.

An investigation conducted by detectives with the ACPD's Violent Crimes Unit identified a 15-year-old boy as an additional person involved in the shooting.
