The brazen violence in Atlantic City, New Jersey has become deeply disturbing this year.

It’s been a very violent 2024 in The World’s Playground.

We have learned that at approximately 5:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 16, 2024 on Father’s Day, a man was shot.

The shooting appears to have occurred near Chelsea Avenue and The Boardwalk.

The circumstances behind the shooting remains sketchy. Here’s what we have learned.

We have an eye witness in the form of retired Atlantic City Battalion Fire Chief Joe Rush.

We’ve talked to Rush. Rush was walking his dog in the neighborhood of the shooting, when he saw a man run out of a bathroom who said, “he was shot by a guy in the bathroom,” said Rush.

However, we are also hearing that another angle that the Atlantic City Police Department is investigating is whether or not the male shooting victim may have accidentally shot himself.

The incident appears to have been caught on video camera, which will ultimately tell the story.

This is a developing story.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.

If you have information about this incident, the Atlantic City Police Department is asking for you to contact their Criminal Investigations Unit at:

Here are a series of Joe Rush photos taken at the scene.
