
Atlantic City, NJ, man sentenced for sex assault at bus terminal
An Atlantic City man is headed to prison for sexually assaulting a sleeping woman at a bus terminal in 2022.

On Wednesday, 56-year-old Eric Williams was sentenced to 12 years in state prison, he will be required to register as a sex offender under Megan's Law, and, once released, will be under parole supervision for the rest of his life.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says on May 19th, 2022, Williams sexually assaulted an adult woman in the lobby of the bus terminal in Atlantic City. He "rectally penetrated the victim with both his fingers and penis."
The victim was asleep at the time of the assault, however, the crime was captured on surveillance video which ultimately led to his arrest.
The investigation was a collaborative effort involving the New Jersey Transit Police Department, the Atlantic City Police Department, and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office. Assistant Prosecutor Elizabeth White represented the State in this case.
