Domestic violence: Man dead, woman wounded in Pleasantville, NJ
Authorities say a woman was shot several times and a man fatally shot himself in an apparent domestic violence incident over the weekend.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says at about 4 AM Sunday, officers with the Pleasantville Police Department responded to 27 S. 3rd Street in the city.
At the scene, officials attempted to make contact with the residents of that home and then heard gunshots from inside.
26-year-old Tyra Pagan exited that home with several gunshot wounds.
Moments later, 38-year-old Kevin Hare shot himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Medical personnel transported Pagan to a hospital where she received medical treatment and remains as of Monday afternoon.
This incident is currently being investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit and the Pleasantville Police Department.
