Pleasantville, NJ, firefighters rescue person pinned 8′ up in tree
An individual from Pleasantville is recovering from serious injuries sustained during a tree trimming accident Saturday afternoon.
At about 12:15, the Pleasantville Fire Department says they responded to a call on North Woodland Ave.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a person who was pinned by a large branch 8-feet up in a tree.
Using ropes and ladders, firefighters were able to move the branch and lower the victim to the ground.
That person was then taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center with a severe leg injury.
The Pleasantville Fire Department says, "We remind residents to exercise caution and use proper safety equipment when performing tasks such as tree trimming."
