According to a press release, around 11:30 Thursday night, police were notified about a shooting victim that arrived at ARMC-Mainland in Galloway Township. The victim, 19-year-old Kevin Neeld from Hamilton Township, told authorities he was shot in Atlantic City.

An investigation by detectives led to the arrest of 20-year-old Joseph Crouch from Alton, IL.

Officers say Crouch, Neeld, and a friend were in a vehicle on the top floor of the Tropicana Casino parking garage when Crouch produced a handgun and accidentally discharged the weapon inside the vehicle striking Neeld. As Neeld was being driven to the hospital, cops say Crouch threw the gun from the vehicle in the garage. The gun was later located by Tropicana security.

Crouch is facing aggravated assault and weapons charges and was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Neeld was transported from ARMC-Mainland to ARMC-City in critical condition. There's no word on Neeld's current condition as of this writing.
