A man from Wildwood is facing charges after police investigated a shots fired call in the city Saturday afternoon.

Wildwood Police say they responded to the area of Spencer and Arctic Avenues around 1:15 Saturday afternoon for a shots fired call. According to a Facebook post, upon arrival, officers came into contact with 21-year-old Jahlin Harris, an unemployed man who resides in that area.

During their investigation, authorities executed a search warrant at Harris's home and a spent .45 caliber shell casing and a .45 caliber handgun were found.

The investigation revealed that during the course of an argument, Harris shot one round into the air and then went back inside his home. No injuries were reported.

Harris was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose (2nd degree). Harris was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in accordance with New Jersey bail reform guidelines.
