Cops say a suspicious man with a chilled bottle of wine was arrested Tuesday morning in Hamilton Township.

According to Hamilton Township Police, officers responded to complaints from multiple residents regarding a suspicious white man who was entering yards in Mays Landing around Hanthorn, 2nd, and 3rd Streets.

Cops say the man, identified as Nicholas Kutassy of Barnegat, entered at least one home through an unlocked back door.

Kutassy was found to be concealing a bottle of wine with a distinctive label, which was chilled and contained condensation, suggesting it was recently removed from a refrigerator. The wine was not removed from the residence he entered, so it is believed he entered a second home and that the resident(s) may be unaware of the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Hamilton Township Police Department at (609) 625-2700.
