The National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Kyle has formed about 185 miles southeast of Atlantic City.

The good news is that unlike the past two tropical storms that have been near us, this one is headed straight out to sea.

As of 5PM Friday, Kyle has maximum sustained winds of 40 MPH. Over the next day or so, the storm could strengthen a bit before it's expected to become post-tropical by the end of the weekend.

Kyle is moving ENE at 17 MPH.

If you are headed to the beach this weekend, Kyle could kick-up the surf. As always, obey the lifeguards in your area, especially if there is an enhanced risk of rip currents, and never swim in an area where there are no lifeguards.
