The Pleasantville Police K9 unit has had a very busy 2019 so far.

The K9 unit has recovered over 7,000 bags of heroin this year. The police department released this log of what the K9 Unit has accomplished year-to-date.

K9 Patrolman Matt Laielli and K9 Chewbacca, aka "Chewy":

- 3828 individual doses of heroin

- 137 grams of coke/crack

- 1 pound of crystal meth

-  4 firearms

- 6 building searches

- 19 surrenders

- 44 narcotic searches

K9 Patrolman Korey Crosby and K9 Ace:

- 2323 individual bags of heroin

- 23 grams of coke/crack

- 9 ounces of crystal meth

- 5.8 ounces of marijuana

- 5 firearms

- 2 building searches

- 16 surrenders

- Approximately $12k in  money seized

K9 Patrolman Joe Gamble and K9��Casper

-1011 bags of heroin

- 20 grams of coke

- 10 ounces of meth

- 1 ecstasy pill

-24 narcotics searches

- 2 building searches

- 2 surrenders
