A 15-year-old male from Pleasantville, who was wanted for shooting himself and then lying to detectives, has been arrested by Galloway Township police.

Authorities say on the evening of November 4th, Atlantic City police responded to the 1400 block of Adams Court for the report of a man who had been shot. Officers arrived and found a 15-year-old who had been wounded; he was taken to ARMC-City for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.

Detectives determined the gunshot wound was self-inflicted and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

This past Wednesday night, Galloway Township police responded to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-Mainland for the report of a disturbance where they located and arrested the teen.

The unnamed teenager was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, obstruction of justice, and providing false reports to law enforcement. He was remanded to Harborfields Detention Facility.
