Suspicious Person Arrested in Middle Township

Cops in Middle Township say a man was arrested after they received calls for nearly eight hours about a suspicious person.

From around noon to 8:00 Tuesday night, residents were reporring a suspicious person who was allegedly walking through yards and attempting to gain entry into several homes on Joffre Avenue, Central Avenue, Wildwood Avenue and Cedar Meadow Drive.

Cops say the individual, identified as 37-yea-old William Atkinson, was taken into custody for several criminal offenses including Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Being Under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.
