The New Jersey Forest Fire Service says a fire has been burning in the Wharton State Forest, near Tabernacle, New Jersey.

The Stafford Forge Wildlife Management Area, in Little Egg Harbor Township burned throughout the day. The fire, which was fanned by gusting winds throughout the day, has consumed over 400 acres.

The Winslow Wildlife Management Area caught fire Tuesday afternoon with firefighters still battling the blaze into the early hours of Wednesday morning.

New Jersey State Police are looking for help in identifying two men who they believe may have information about a recent forest fire that began in Ocean County a couple weeks ago.
