It's turtle-crossing season at the Jersey Shore. An effort to help a few safely cross a road in Stone Harbor instead resulted in an accident involving three vehicles.

The Turtle Trio, namely the box, northern diamondback terrapin, and snapper are on the move, and these harbingers of the summer season need a bit of care and caution as they traverse roads, trails, highways, and byways.

Mother Nature is full of baby stuff this weekend!

In reference to the 1967 #1 pop hit by The Turtles, it’s indeed a happy time when one observes a box turtle in the garden or lawn.
