People who live in Texas take high school football very seriously.

This is the new high school football stadium (not field) in Allen, TX, just outside of Dallas. It seats 18,000 people (in comparison, Boardwalk Hall holds 12,000 people). The residents of Allen voted on -- and approved -- this $60 million facility because the old stadium, which only sat 14,000 people, was too small.

Yes, $60 million for a high school football stadium. Imagine if this was proposed for a school district here in South Jersey?

With 18,000 seats, every resident of Hammonton could watch a game -- and there would still be 3,000 empty seats.

The new stadium for the Allen Eagles boasts NaturalGrass Matrix turf, a huge 75-by-45 foot HD video scoreboard, and more. The school district expects at least 8,000 season ticket holders.

Incredibly, this new stadium is only the third largest (not the largest) high school sports facility in Texas.
