Three people are facing charges following a traffic stop in Egg Harbor City Wednesday.

Egg Harbor City Police say they stopped a vehicle in the 800 Block of Buffalo Avenue. According to cops, during the stop, 21-year-old Brian Foster of Brigantine fled from police on foot but was quickly apprehended. A report says Foster was in possession of crack cocaine and a .40 caliber handgun.

The driver, 42-year-old Jamie Ippoliti of Galloway Twp., and a front seat passenger, 40-year-old Marquette Winters of Mays Landing, were also arrested on unrelated outstanding warrants from nearby towns.

Foster was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of high capacity magazines, possession of hollow point ammunition, resisting arrest, and possession of crack cocaine. Cops say he was recently released from prison for a prior conviction and was on an intensive supervision program. He was transported to the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a pre-trial detention hearing.
