Trash Collectors in Smithville Brighten A Little Girl’s Christmas
We've probably all heard the phrase, "Not all heroes wear capes." That phrase certainly rings true when describing some hard working men in who have befriended a little girl in Smithville.
Antonellla Marmo - the mom - says her three-year-old daughter Savannah waits to greet the trash collectors every Monday morning, rain or shine. Each week the men make sure to stop for a quick hug or high five.
This week Savannah and her brother, Rhett, 5, and sister, Kayleigh, 1, waited for Savannah's friends to share some Christmas presents. Antonella says they were surprised when the men presented Savannah with a gift from them - a tool kit!
Antonella says the family doesn't know the names of the men, but she's very appreciative of the kindness they have shown her children.
Merry Christmas!
