Officials in Atlantic County reported 17 new positive cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, marking the fourth consecutive day where new cases numbered in the teens.

19 new cases were reported on Monday, 13 this past Sunday, and 18 on Saturday.

Since this past Saturday, only two deaths were reported -- a 76-year-old Hamilton Township woman and an 81-year-old woman from Hammonton resident.

As of Tuesday, 3,266 Atlantic County residents have tested positive with 1,819 having been cleared as recovered. 226 fatalities have been attributed to COVID-19.

Tuesday's report comes just as the State of New Jersey added ten more states to its coronavirus quarantine travel advisory, bringing the total to 31, according to NJ.com. Delaware is back on the list after it was removed last week; also joining the First State are Alaska, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, Virginia and Washington.

Back locally, Atlantic County will continue to provide COVID-19 testing at its drive-thru facility at the public works complex on Route 9 in Northfield on Tuesday, July 28th, from 9 to 11:30AM. Testing is now available for both symptomatic and asymptomatic county residents with or without a doctor’s prescription. Residents must make an appointment and provide proof of county residency.
