Two men from Vineland were arrested and two guns were recovered after multiple shots were fired early Saturday morning in Atlantic City.

According to the ACPD, officers were out at Florida and Fairmount Avenues on a call around 2:30 Saturday morning when they heard multiple gunshots coming from the 200 block of Florida Avenue.

Police say no one was injured but several vehicles were struck by gunfire including a marked police car.

A responding officer located a vehicle leaving the area. The vehicle was stopped and the occupants, 26-year-old Wilfredo Santiago-Bota and 31-year-old Edwin Rodriguez, both of Vineland, were arrested after two handguns and a 30-round magazine were located in the car, according to a press release.

Santiago-Bota was charged with two counts of purchasing firearm parts to manufacture a firearm without a serial number and unlawful possession of a weapon, single counts of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of large capacity magazine, certain person not to possess a weapon, aggravated assault.

Rodriguez was charged with two counts of purchasing firearm parts to manufacture a firearm without a serial number and unlawful possession of a weapon, single counts of possession of large capacity magazine and certain person not to possess a weapon.

Both men were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
