Cops in Atlantic City arrested two teenagers last week and recovered a gun and marijuana in the process.

The ACPD says around 5:00 last Wednesday afternoon, detectives stopped two juveniles at Dover and Ventnor Avenues. One 14-year-old juvenile was placed in custody in reference to an active warrant for his arrest resulting from an investigation into shots being fired last month. The other, who is 17-years-old, was arrested after being found in possession of a loaded, defaced handgun and 21 grams of marijuana.

The 17-year-old from Ventnor was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a defaced firearm, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

The 14-year-old from Atlantic City was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Both teens were remanded to Harborfields Detention Facility.
