Unconscious Man From PA Removed from Ocean in A.C. Dies

A 77-year-old man who was removed from the ocean in Atlantic City Thursday afternoon died at a local hospital.

The Atlantic City Police Department says the city's beach patrol located and removed 77-year-old Gustave Vincolato of Folcroft, PA, who was unconscious, from shallow water in the ocean at the Ohio Avenue beach around 3PM Thursday.

Once on the beach, lifeguards began CPR and Vincolato was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center - City Division where he was pronounced dead by doctors.

Authorities say the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of Vincolato’s death.
