Years of legal battles apparently have come to an end with Walmart getting the green light to build a Walmart Supercenter in Egg Harbor Township.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that a state appellate court has ruled in the township's favor, ending a four year lawsuit that had attempted to block the store's construction.

The site for the proposed new store is on the Black Horse Pike at Fire Road, site of the former Atlantic City Electric Company.

Officials at Walmart say they plans to go forward with construction plans "in the very near future."
