Local Woman Killed in Galloway Township Crash

A two-car accident on Clarks Landing Road in Galloway Township early yesterday morning has claimed the life of an Egg Harbor City woman.

Galloway Township Police say KD Cyr was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

A 2002 Ford pick-up driven by Calvin Gadd 3rd, of Greenbank NJ was traveling west on Clarks Landing Rd. The truck collided with the rear of a 1998 Chevy sedan driven by Cyr of Egg Harbor City, NJ as it traveled west. The Chevy was forced off of the roadway striking a tree before coming to rest.

Gadd suffered minor injuries and was treated at ARMC – Mainland Division. Cyr suffered fatal injuries and had to be extricated from her vehicle by Pomona Fire Department.

No charges have been filed at this time, and the accident remains under investigation.
