Atlantic Shore is heading to the Babe Ruth World Series final after beating Tallahassee, FL, 9-1 in Jamestown, NY on Friday night.

The first two innings shaped up to be a pitcher’s duel, as Aidan Ralph and Nate Dietz each only allowed one hit.

ASHORE got on the board in the top of the third after an error and two walks loaded the bases for Matt Wagner. Wager hit an RBI single giving Atlantic Shore the 1-0 lead.

Another run came home for Mid-Atlantic on a Damon Herzchel fielder’s choice making it 2-0.

Ralph responded on the mound with a shutdown inning including a big strikeout over Dietz.

In the top of the fouth, Atlantic Shore grabbed two more runs on a Colin Thompson RBI infield hit and a perfect squeeze bunt by Johnny Franchini to take a 4-0 lead. Wagner then added an RBI single making it 5-0 Atlantic Shore.

Damon Herzchel added an RBI single for Atlantic Shore and Franchini scored on an error to make it 7-0.

Ryan Baldwin walked with the bases loaded and then another run came home on a throwing error making it 9-0 ASHORE.

Ralph had a final line of 6.1 innings pitched, five hits, one earned run with three strikeouts.

The Mid-Atlantic Regional champs take the win over the Southeast 9-1 to send them to the Championship game tomorrow versus New England.
