Billy Currington Indicted on Terroristic Threats and Abuse Charges

Billy Currington was indicted in Georgia this afternoon on charges of making terroristic threats and abuse of an elder person. Both charges stem from an incident that allegedly happened on his boat last week.

WSAV-TV in Savannah reports Billy Currington was not arrested after the incident in waters off of the Georgia shore. The terroristic threat charge states that Currington did, "threaten to cause unlawful bodily harm to Charles Harvey Ferrelle…with the purpose of terrorizing Charles Harvey Ferrelle." The abuse of an elder person charge states that Billy, "did willfully inflict mental anguish upon" Ferrell, who is over 65 years old. It's not clear what the relationship is between the two guys.

Back in 2007, Billy Currington entered a 30-day trauma recovery program to treat anger issues resulting from childhood abuse.
