Police in Bridgeton are on the lookout for someone spending a lot of quarters!

Police say they were called out to a home on Bank Street (Yes! Bank Street!) where a resident reported the theft of $250 in quarters. The victim says a second floor window was damaged, and the quarters are missing from a bedroom.

Police say the victim reported leaving the house at about 5pm on Sunday, and returning just before 10pm. The resident reported the basement light was on, signaling that something was out of place.

Nothing else, other than than the 1,000 quarters are reported missing.

It's estimated that $250 in quarters is about 12 and a half pounds.
