EHT Family is Donating Stuffed Animals To Kids in Tough Times
About 6 years ago, Andrea and Dominic Pugliese from Egg Harbor Township were inspired to make a difference after seeing an article on Facebook about a little boy named Christian who was battling cancer. All this little boy wanted was a stuffed animal to comfort him during such a hard time. So Andrea and Dominic went to Build-a-Bear Workshop and bought the young boy a bear and dressed him up like an Eagles player, since it was his favorite team.
As their hearts grew, the couple became more determined to bring some love and joy to kids all over South Jersey. So, they decided to get a few more bears and donate them to CHOP.
From there, their initiative and kindness got bigger and bigger, and it DEFINITELY didn't go unnoticed! Friends and family began reaching out asking to help in this Daily Dose of Good. In which case, their passion to help children inspired them to start a non-profit called Built With Love.
Over the years, they've donated to CHOP, Ronald McDonald House in Camden and the two in Philly, Youth and Family Services in AC, CHOP out patient center in Mayslanding, Gift of Life in Philly and St Christopher’s in Philly. They also take heavily to social media as they will donate to any child we see on Facebook who is battling cancer, leukemia, or any life threatening disease. But the love doesn't fall short there, if the battling child has siblings they'll normally send one to them as well.
Andrea and Dominic also have 3 young boys (Tyler, Blake and Noah) who have been a great help in delivering donations and creating relationships with the families of which they help!
This year, they have a new hope: To get enough donations to give some families a free room at a Ronald McDonald House for a year. The goal for this is just a little over $5,500 but with the help of the community, together we can do this and credit South Jersey for their help!
